Radiotherapy: seizing the opportunity in cancer care
Radiotherapy is undervalued and needs greater investment, according a new report published by the Marie Curie Legacy Campaign. Entitled Radiotherapy: seizing the opportunity in cancer care, the white paper recommends a five-point plan to boost uptake of radiotherapy and calls on all stakeholders – governments and policymakers, healthcare professionals, patients and professional societies, along with national and international research funds – to become ‘radiotherapy ambassadors’ to help raise awareness of the benefits of radiotherapy and secure its valuable position in comprehensive, optimal cancer care.

A call to Action: Next Steps to Improve Radiotherapy Services and Outcomes in England.
A coalition of stakeholders including leaders from patient groups, academia, government and the private sector have released a report that provides recommendations to the NHS that would improve and expand access to advanced radiotherapy services in the UK amidst calls for increased funding by the all party parliamentary group for radiotherapy in their APPG manifesto for Radiotherapy.
